Looking to join/start a group. Experienced blue-based rock n roll guitar player that enjoys playing live across a wide range of genres.
I recently moved to Fort Worth from Nashville and am looking to join/start a group. I have 8+ years of gigging and recording experience but recently graduated with an engineering degree so haven't had the chance to play live as much as I would have liked the past few years. I am an experienced songwriter but also enjoy playing cover tunes, whatever gets me on stage with a guitar strapped on.
I have played a wide range of genres from blues, jazz, classic rock, hard rock and metal to bluegrass, country, and southern rock. I am definitely a blue-based player by default, but I love and am up for playing any range of genres, just ready to start playing live again.
Laid-back, timely, team-oriented musician that believes that music is meant to be enjoyed by players that like to have fun and serve the song. The linked soundcloud audio samples are an example of some quick jamming I did to some stock backing tracks through GarageBand on my iPhone.
I work full-time (8 am - 5:30 pm Mon - Thurs and every other Friday) but am committed to being available for rehearsals at night and gigging on the weekends. I also have experience as a session player while in Nashville, so feel free to reach out with any questions or inquiries regarding live or studio availability.
I have a large range of influences so below is a sample based on genre:
Blues: Buddy Guy, Albert King, Eric Clapton, SRV, Peter Green, Joe Bonamassa
Rock: Free, Cream, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, ACDC, Van Halen
Hard Rock: Black Stone Cherry, Black Label Society, Alter Bridge, Stone Sour
Southern Rock: The Allman Brothers, Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Eagles, Blackberry Smoke
Country and Bluegrass: Tony Rice, Doc Watson, Albert Lee, Glen Campbell
