Looking For

After the last band of 10 years broke up after a good run, it's time to pick up the sticks again. I'm hoping to join a band serious enough to work on creating a solid sound (ideally a mix of originals and covers) and play gigs, but busy enough in life to know the band isn't a full time job but a great way to have fun.

Bio

I have kids and a day job, but have also been drumming for decades, playing out with multiple bands (mostly rock genres). I consider my skills to be above average (a dependable beat for your band, interesting enough to catch attention without stealing it). If we establish a good fit, you'll find me very committed.

Influences

Mostly across rock genres, including classic (Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty), jam/roots (Dave Matthews Band, Phish), dance/funk (Jamiroquai), alternative (Foo Fighters, Collective Soul, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam), shoegazer (Helio Sequence, We Were Promised Jet Packs), modern (Royal Blood). However, I get most of my ideas on how to improve my play from jazz drummers/teachers.
